John McCain and Mike Huckabee are both vying for top spot in South Carolina, taking place a couple days from now on Saturday. In the polls, Mr. McCain has a slight lead. FOXnews S.C. Poll Yahoo! News (Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll)
And in terms of Google Searches, they are also funnily enough very close.

Mike Huckabee is leading, ever so barely, in Google searches. Will this lead to victory on the day of the primary? Many would say it is too close in terms of number of searches to say. However the more know candidate is generally seeing _less_ Google searches, thus I would throw more weight behind John McCain in this race and look to see him take the S.C. primary.
All of this said, Ron Paul still leads just about every Google Trends report against the other candidates. Pretty incredible.
